Margaret M. Sullivan

Margaret M. Sullivan 90, of Valhalla, NY passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2016. Margaret was born on Aug. 11, 1925 to the late Austin G. and Nora (nee Mannion) Cleary in New York City. Margaret was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Seniors, loved to travel and go to see Broadway Shows but above all things she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert T. Sullivan in 1978. She is survived by her loving children Barbara Gerster (Theodore) of North White Plains, NY, her two sons Robert P. Sullivan (Claire) of Madison, CT, Thomas P. Sullivan (Ann Brown) of Leonia, NJ. Also survived by her two brothers John Cleary of Brooklyn, NY, Dennis Cleary of Bethany Beach, DE, as well as her seven cherished grandchildren Maryclaire Capetta (Daniel), Robert Gerster (Margot), Katherine Walters (Michael), James Sullivan (Carolina), Michael Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, Emily Sullivan her five great grandchildren Cassandra, Patrick, Mateo, Lucas, Phoebe and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret was predeceased by her brother Austin G. Cleary in 1992. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY on Thursday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
