Orfei, Margaret "Peggy"� - West Harrison- Cherished wife, mother and grandmother has entered eternal rest March 5, 2013. Our loss is heaven's gain. Peggy was 85 years old. She adored her family and will be missed by the many people lucky to know her. She was born in Brooklyn on April 23, 1927 to William and Mary (Reilly) Newman. She was raised and educated in White Plains. She married her devoted husband of 61 years, Frank Orfei, on October 28, 1951 at St. John's Church. Her husband survives her. Peggy's focus in life was caring for her family. She is also survived by her son Frank and wife Gail, grandchildren Adam and Gabrielle Orfei. Son Stephen and grandchildren Tara and Stephen Orfei. Daughter-in-law Elise and grandson William Orfei. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased is her loving son John, her sisters Eleanor, Gertrude, Mary, Winifred, Theresa and brother John Newman. The family will receive visitors at Ballard-Durand Funeral home, 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Saturday 10AM at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in West Harrison. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to her parish, St. Anthony's.
