Margaret "Maria Immacolata" Penirelli Fuca, 80 of Pleasantville, NY passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024.
Margaret was born to the late Maria Concetta Penirelli (nee Cipriano) and Francesco Penirelli on May 2, 1943 in Montesarchio in the province of Benevento, Italy.
Margaret is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Giulio; son David (Carmela), daughter Adrianne (JR), and five Grandchildren: Angelina, Gianna, Julian, Ava and Jayson. Sisters: Carmella, Lena and Sandy: Brother Tommy (Diane); In Laws, Nephews, Nieces and many, many friends. Margaret was extremely proud and devoted to her family.
In 1954 at the age of 11, Margaret arrived in America from Italy on the cruise liner Andrea Doria. Margaret grew up fast by being a second mother to her four siblings as her Mom had to work to provide for the family. In February 1964, Margaret met her soul mate Giulio in West Harrison, NY. After three dates, they got married and settled in Silver Lake. As they built their beautiful life together, they moved to Armonk and finally settled in Pleasantville, NY. Margaret was instrumental in the success of the family tile business. She maintained the books and helped Giulio build the business.
The experience of taking care of her siblings at such a young age made Margeret a Master at her own family. She was an amazing homemaker, cook, baker and gardener, her green thumb cannot be matched! Margaret did it all with such pride and love. If you knew Margaret, not only did she wear many hats in her life of success, but she also went by many names, Maggie, Mackie, Mardge! But one thing is for sure, she had the best laugh and made the best pignoli cookies in the world! Margaret was a devoted member of The San Silverio Shrine of Dover Plains. Margaret adored her husband Giulio and her children David and Adrianne. Her love for her grandchildren and family will be forever treasured and she will be remembered for the love she gave to all.
