Margaret Downes

Margaret Downes, 76, of Newtown, CT died April 18, 2019.Margaret was born January 23, 1943 in the Bronx, NY to James and Margaret(Conaty)Downes. She received her Masters degree in Education. She was a teacher for over 30 years at Pearl River School District in Pearl River, NY. Margaret is survived by her brother James (Annette) Downes, brother in law, Anthony Sexton, nieces and nephews, James(Alyssa) Downes, Lisa (Joe) DiDomenico, Keith (Jenny) Sexton and Krissy (Rich) Rommel.  She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Sexton. Reposing, Monday, April 22, 2019 from 4-8 PM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held  10 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery where the interment will follow.
