Margaret Bizzari

Margaret Phyllis (Mangiapia) Bizzari formally of Elmsford, NY and Naples, FL passed into eternal light on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 93 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Pawling , NY.  Marge was born in Manhattan, NY to Lewis and Anna (Szutiak) Mangiapia on September 3, 1926.  She spent her childhood in Staten Island and married the love of her life Elio (Buzzy) Bizzari on December 2, 1948.  Marge and Buzzy settled in Elmsford, NY where they raised their family for the next 25 years until retiring to Naples, FL.  Marge lost Buzzy in 1989 and remained in Florida working for her beloved Sears until her retirement in 2002.   She relocated to Southbury, CT to be closer to her family and grandchildren. Marge is survived by her son Raymond and his wife Mary Beth and their three daughters Lauren, Katie and Melissa, her daughter Margaret Irwin and her husband Kevin and their two sons Jack Elio and Patrick and her daughter Christine Dorio and her two children Michelle and Joey.  A special note to Ryan, Frank and Jose the boyfriends of Lauren, Katie and Melissa.  Grandma was fortunate to meet them.  Marge was predeceased by her cherished brothers, Louie, Jerry and Joe Mangiapia. Marge often talked about her love for her extended family and friends, especially the Hennessy and Rode Families and a warm hug for David Hennessy.  Not that she loved Dave more, but there was a bond that was very special between them.  There are fond memories of spending Christmas Eve with the Hennessy’s and Aunt Marge making her famous Lasagna.  We are sure that family and friends that knew her hold memories dear to their hearts and know the tremendous love she gave to them. Margaret will be buried with Buzzy at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery and a memorial service to remember her life will be held at a later date.
