Manfred P. Gaa of Elmsford lost his brave struggle with Parkinson's Disease on May 30, 2009. He was born Jan. 12, 1924 in Mannheim, Germany. Manfred worked as an apprentice at Mercedes Benz before being drafted into the German Army. He then married Lotte Blum in 1950. Lotte and Manfred immigrated from post war Germany to Montreal Canada in 1951, then to Yonkers NY in 1957. During his life Manfred worked for Gries Inc in New Rochelle and as a Tool and Die maker for North American Philipps in Briarcliff, NY. He was a member of the Edelweiss Social Club of White Plains. Manfred is survived by his devoted wife Lotte, his beloved son Perry and wife Nancy and his adored grandchildren Harrison and Emily.
