Luigi Maffei Trombetta, a resident of Newburgh, died on Friday, March 2, 2012. He was 85 years old.
Mr. Trombetta was born on March 21, 1926 in Avellino, Italy to the late Nicola and Rosa Maffei. He married Concetta Chieffo. For many years before his retirement he worked as a private chef at Fordham University.
In addition to his wife Concetta he is survived by his five children, Rosanna Bizzarro and her husband Carmine, Nick Trombetta and his wife Janeen, Michael Trombetta and his wife Marie, Stella Parrino and her husband Mike, and Marie Capriglione and her husband Roberto; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Reposing Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bronx. Entombment at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
