Lovilla R Steele

Lovilla R. Steele of Thornwood, NY passed away on October 9, 2005. She was born on December 23, 1924 in White Plains, NY and was the daughter of Andrew and Bertha Grantham and the wife of the late George D. Steele.

Lovilla was a lifelong member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church where she volunteered for many years.

She was employed by the New York Telephone Company, the United States Post Office and the Police Benevolent Association of Westchester County.

Her daughter Nancy Weis of Hawthorne, son David Steele of Thornwood and son Donald Steele of Gunnison, Colorado survive her.

Funeral service will be held Friday October 14, 2005 at 10:00am at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church White Plains. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway White Plains, NY.
