Louis Prusky

Louis Prusky, Lou, 73 years old of White Plains, NY passed away April 14th at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan due to complications of lung cancer. Lou was born in Ghent, NY on November 18th, 1949 to Esther and John Prusky. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, NY in 1967. After many years working for Teamsters Local Union No. 553 he attended The New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants and graduated in October 2001 and finished his career at NYU as a Medical Assistant.

Lou enjoyed sports and was a New York Mets fan. He enjoyed reading and cooking as well as collecting memorabilia. He was a loved member of the Greenburgh Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his daughter Stacey, son-in-law John, and grandchildren, Arianna, Aidan, Gabriel, and Emma. He is survived by a brother Mike and sisters Lilian, Stella, Shawna, Gail, and Sharon as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Earl, Kevin, Anthony, Jake, Francis, and Ramon as well as predeceased by sisters Dorothy and Catherine.

A gathering celebrating Lou's life will be held on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, located at 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne NY.
