Louis Lacarbonara

Louis Lacarbonara 81, of Hawthorne, N.Y. and formerly of Boca Raton, Fla. and Bronx, N.Y. died on February 27, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born on Nov. 21, 1930 to the late Antonio and Maria Rosaria (nee Zito) Lacarbonara in Martina Franca, Italy. Louis was a retired iron worker in Hunts Point in the Bronx and enjoyed opera music, traveling and most of all his family. He is survived by his devoted wife Lucia (nee Guastaferro) Lacarbonara of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children; Antonio (Lisa) Lacarbonara of White Plains, N.Y. Maria Rosaria (Sandro) Carlacci and Laura (Peter) Pizzuti both of Hawthorne, N.Y. two brothers, Giuseppe and Mario. Also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren; Marco, Daniela, Vincenzo, Stefano, Louis Tatiana, Isabella and Loredana. Predeceased by his sister, Giovanna and grandson, Marcello. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital 1275 York Ave. N.Y., N.Y. would be appreciated.
