Lorraine Higgins

Lorraine Higgins, a lifelong Elmsford resident, passed away March 15, 2017 at the age of 87 from cancer. She was born April 14, 1929 to Antoine Le Blanc and Elsa Olga Heinrich. Lorraine was predeceased by her son, Thomas Higgins Jr. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Higgins, along with their daughter, Laurie Hammond and granddaughter, Jessica Higgins. Upon retirement she spent her time volunteering for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Lorraine was a compassionate and religious individual. She treated everyone she met with the same genuine kindness that touched so many. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 19th, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 E. Main Street,Elmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20th, 2017 at 11am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Elmsford.
