Linda Bonnie Goldfried, 74, of White Plains, NY, died after a mercifully short battle with leukemia, on September 13th, 2024. Linda was born in New York, NY, on April 20, 1950, to George Goldleaf and Ada Gotkin, and was the younger sister to Sandra Kase and Susan Cernansky. She is survived by her three children, Adam Goldfried, Jenny Amswych, and Evan Goldfried, by her sisters, and by her partner, Mike Reis. Linda grew up in Yonkers, NY, and was accepted to Stonybrook University in its founding year but ultimately transferred to City College to be close to her future husband, Bill Goldfried. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz, and was accepted as a Phi Beta Kappa Society member for her outstanding academic achievement. Linda built a successful dental practice alongside her husband while raising three children. After her husband's death in 2001, Linda subsequently dedicated her time to her grandchildren and to charitable endeavors such as volunteering for Dorot Westchester. A memorial service will be held at Sharon Gardens in Valhalla on Monday, September 16 at 1 pm. Shiva will be held at the family home in White Plains immediately following the memorial service until 5 pm, and additionally on Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18, from 12 pm to 5 pm.
