Lillian was best known for her love of music, movies, travel, her entrepreneurship and her fiercely dedicated love of her children and family.
She started a successful court reporting service in the 1960's. The descendant of that business remains today. She was a licensed pilot. She held season tickets to the New York City Metropolitan Opera. She owned a commercial travel agency. She travelled throughout her life, fulfilling her longest held travel goals in retirement, when she and Joseph traversed the continental United States, attended a mass given by the Pope, visited the Holy Land, walked the beach in Normandy, and toured China.
Lillian is preceded in death by Joseph Poletti, her father Elmer O'Dell, and her mother, Concepcion "Conchita" Negron O'Dell.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Sharlynne Galati, her son, Wayne Nuessle, her stepdaughters, Deborah Smart, Candice Vann, Cheryl MacDonald and Geralyn Poletti, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one great-great- grandchild, and by her sisters Nellie Semeria and Evelyn Sawyer.
