Lidia (Nancy) Battista 78, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on June 14, 2015 at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, N.Y. She was born on Nov.29, 1936 to the late Pasquale and Angelina (nee Lombardi) Venditti in Casalciprano Campobasso, Italy. She was a seamstress in the family business, Battista Formal Wear in Thornwood, N.Y. that her and her husband ran. Lidia was a member of the Mt.Pleasant Italian American Club and also a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, N.Y. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Battista of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by her loving children, Angelo (Lesley) Battista of Cross River, N.Y. and Marianna (Edward) Golden of Hopewell Jct., N.Y. also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, Rosanne and Marissa Battista and EJ , Matthew and Robert Golden. and two sisters, Ida Stillitano of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Amelita Battista of Eastchester, N.Y. Predeceased by two sisters. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Entombment, Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y.
