With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Léna D’Haïti, a woman of extraordinary strength, generosity, and unwavering love. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, Léna overcame adversity from a young age, displaying resilience and determination that carried her through a life filled with sacrifice, love, and achievement.
She embarked on a courageous journey, moving first to Aruba in 1969 and later immigrating to the United States in 1981, building a foundation of hope for her family. Léna was more than a mother; she was a protector, a teacher, and an unwavering beacon of support. Her quiet but constant love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A remarkable woman, Léna mastered four languages despite having no formal education, proving her intelligence and drive. She deeply valued hard work and education, inspiring generations to strive for excellence. Her generosity knew no bounds, always offering a helping hand to loved ones and those in need.
Léna is survived by her daughter, Myrlhene; her cherished grandchildren Landy, Myrtelle, Kaitlyn, and Tyler; her great-grandchildren Hailey and Hannah; and her siblings Merita, Fignole (Maxo), and Meripha. She joins her beloved sister, Monique, in eternal peace.
Though she has left this world, Léna’s legacy remains—a testament to love, perseverance, and the profound impact of a life well lived. She will forever be remembered, cherished, and carried in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Léna. You are deeply missed but never forgotten.
