Lawrence 'Larry' O'Mahony passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 in his home after an extended illness.
Larry was born in Flushing, New York and at an early age his family moved to White Plains, NY. He attended St. John the Evangelist grammar school in White Plains, Stepinac High School, also in White Plains, and earned a Marketing degree from Pace University in Pleasantville.
Larry moved on to become a "super star" salesman in the pharmaceutical, beauty and eyewear industries, working at companies such as Rexall, Revlon, and Eastern States Eyewear throughout his career. He lived in several states in addition to his home state of New York, to include Georgia, California, Arizona, and finally settled into Texas as his final place to call home.
Larry was an avid sports and politics enthusiast, often referring to himself as "your political, sports and entertainment guru!" Larry also loved listening to all types of music, from oldies to current hits, enjoying using his Google Assistant to play songs of his choosing. Larry said that great music is a joy of life! Larry was also very fond of his ruby red Toyota Camry, which he said rides like a Mercedes-Benz!
Larry's often-used phrase was "Larry Being Larry" and he certainly did things "his way" throughout life.
Larry is predeceased by his mother and father, Julia O'Mahony (nee Brosnan) and Lawrence O'Mahony, and is survived by his sisters and spouses Margaret and Floyd Pettit and Arlene and Alan Cavallerano.
His Family will gather with Friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2-6pm at the HAWTHORNE FUNERAL HOME, 21 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, New York, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at 11AM followed by interment to Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, New York.
