Lawrence P. Lonergan

Lawrence Parker Lonergan, a longtime resident of the Town of Mount Pleasant, died peacefully with family by his side at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx on December 18, 2023. He was 81 years old.

Born in New York City, Lawrence ("Larry") grew up in White Plains with four brothers, before settling in Valhalla in 1974. He completed his master's degree at Fordham University and enjoyed a long, successful career in financial marketing for companies including Chemical Bank, Marine Midland Bank, and Towers-Perrin.

Lawrence is predeceased by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Elizabeth, and his brother William.

He is survived by his two sons Sean (and Julie) Lonergan, and Lawrence, II (and Kathryn) Lonergan, three brothers, Robert, James, and Michael, and six grandchildren, Kathryn, Patrick, Brendan, Jack, Madison, and Grace.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
