Laura A. (Medori) Compitello

Laura A. Compitello 63, of West Harrison, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sept. 12, 2019. Laura was born on Sept. 9, 1956 to Gerry and Virginia (nee San Filippo) Medori in Bronx, NY. She was a self-employed wedding event planner in White Plains, NY. She was a woman of great faith dedicating much of her time to the church and praying for and with others.  She loved spending her time with friends and family in Florida, New York, and Connecticut.   Laura had a passion for cooking - especially Italian - taking much pride in her highly coveted recipes which she shared openly. A 'dancing queen' at heart, she was always the life and light of any party, always making the people around her laugh and smile.  She will be sorely missed. Laura was a devoted wife to Peter and an incredible mom to her son Peter John.  She exuded love and affection to everyone who came in contact with her. She is also survived by Tara Iocco of Yorktown Heights, NY and James Medori of FL, who she raised. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, too many to mention. Other survivors include her in laws Anton and Rosanne Keller, Joseph and Janis Compitello, Robert and Gloria Boyle, Stephen and Camille Sage and Catherine Compitello Diaz. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 2-6 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison, NY on Monday 11 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN or any ASPCA foundation of your choice.
