Kathleen (Earley) Williams was called to heaven on Friday September 15, 2023 after an 8 year battle with Alzheimer's, she was 84 years old.
She was born in March of 1939 at the Grasslands Hospital, now called Westchester Medical Center in Mount Pleasant.
Her parents were the late Francis & Anne Brady Earley who immigrated to the United States from Ireland.
She was raised in Elmsford, living in the Flat Iron Building, which used to be where the centennial clock is now on the corners of 9A and 119.
Kathy attended both Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford.
After high school she attended the Winds Beauty Culture School and went on to work as a hairdresser at Charlie's Beauty Salon in the Flat Iron Building in Elmsford.
Then she met the love of her life Walter Williams Sr., who was a former owner of Brookfield Auto Wreckers. They were married in 1960 in Elton Maryland. She was totally devastated when Walter unexpectantly passed away in 1989 at the age of 57.
Kathy and Walter lived in White Plains for a couple of years then moved to Greenburgh. In 2001, she moved to South Carolina only to return back to N.Y. in 2016. She lived her remaining years at Andrus Nursing Home in Hastings. Kathy's family would like to thank the staff at Andrus Nursing Home for the excellent care they gave her.
After being a stay at home mom, she went back to work at the Elks Club in White Plains, briefly owned C & G Coffee Shop in White Plains and then worked for 10 years at the N.Y.S. School for the Deaf in Greenburgh as a house mother for dormitories.
Kathy loved her entire family.
