Kathleen A. Moroney

Kathleen Anne Moroney of Bronxville, NY passed away surrounded by her family on June 25, 2021.

Kathy was born in the Bronx and raised in Yonkers, NY. After graduating from Pace University with a BA, she pursued a career in accounting, working for several years at Manhattanville College. Kathy met Chris at a Fordham University dance in the Spring of 1970 and they married in August of 1972.

Kathy was a witty and vivacious woman who truly loved her life with Chris, raising their family, spending time at their vacation home in Rhode Island and traveling abroad, especially her frequent trips to the United Kingdom and Ireland to visit her friends and family. She made significant contributions to her local community as an active member of the Junior League of Bronxville and through her work at the Bronxville Challenge, a non-profit anti-drug organization.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Christopher Moroney, and her children: her son and son-in law Brendan Moroney and James Hannaham, and her son and daughter-in-law Maginn and Kaitlin Moroney. She is also remembered by numerous friends and family across the country, and in the UK and in Ireland.

A memorial service will be held at The St. Francis Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Thursday, July 8th at 11am. Interment to follow.
