Katherine Lentkowski

Katherine (Kay) Lentkowski 87, a longtime resident of Mt.Vernon, N.Y. died on August 13, 2009 in Leeds, Mass. Kay was born in Glassport, PA., the daughter of Vincent and Catherine Lupo on Sept.20, 1921. She is predeceased by her two sisters; Josephine Nardozzi of Mt.Vernon and Rose Shields of Long Island City and her brother Salvatore Lupo of Mahwah, N.J. She worked for the BT Babbit Co. in NYC in the 1950's as a section supervisor. When the company moved to Albany, N.Y. she then went to work for Exquisite Form, Industries, Inc. in Pelham, N.Y. Kay worked at Exquisite Form until her retirement in 1986, and is a member of the ILGWU. She enjoyed singing, dancing and bowling, and was a very avid Mets fan. She was a member of the Standards Bowling League in Mt.Vernon. Kay is survived by her loving daughters; Denise Keating and her husband Peter of White Plains, N.Y. and Diane Quinn and her husband Richard of Florence, MA. Also survived by her 3 cherished grandchildren; Richard A. McBroom, Kimberly A. Keating and Peter L. Keating. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Monday 11 AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers donations to Linda Manor Nursing Home 349 Haydenville Road Leeds, MA. 01053 c/o Activities Fund would be appreciated.
