Justin A. Salandra

Justin Anthony Salandra 30, of Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of Brewster, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, after a valiant struggle with brain cancer. He was born on Nov.19, 1979 to John and Kathryn (nee Tota) Salandra in Bronx, N.Y. Justin was an IT Professional and was employed for several years as Network Engineer for the Catholic Healthcare System of New York. His most recent employment was as System Administrator for Transatlantic Reinsurance in NYC. Besides his work, Justin had a passion for cooking, politics, Nascar, and, especially, his family. His loving wife Jennifer (nee Cousins) Salandra and beloved daughters Chloe and Isabelle Salandra survive. Also surviving are his mother Kathryn; his father John; his sisters Erika Travan (Adam) and Lindsay; his father in law Robert (Marie) Cousins; his brothers in law Robert (Lisa) Cousins and Peter (Deanna) Cousins; his sister in law Laura Parker-Lofaro (John); aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday 11 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jansen Memorial Hospice 69 Main Street Tuckahoe, N.Y. 10707 would be appreciated.
