Julia D. Ruffalo 93, of Pleasantville, N.Y. died on July 6, 2016. She was born on Feb.18, 1923 to the late Errico and Clothilde (nee Petrillo) DiMarzo in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. She retired in 1988 after a 24 year career with the Mt.Vernon Board of Education as secretary to the Superintendent of Schools and was also Past President of the Emblem Club in Mt.Vernon. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Gerard Ruffalo in 2009 and by her five sisters and three brothers. Julia is survived by her two loving daughters, Judith Giampia of Mahopac, N.Y. and predeceased by son in law Robert Giampia in 2007 and Linda Crocco (John Vinchot) of Pleasantville, N.Y. two sisters, Natalie DiMarzo of Rye Brook, N.Y. and Rosemarie (Frank) Tramontano of White Plains, N.Y. also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, Robert (Debra) Giampia, Jr., Victoria Garrette, Gregory Giampia, Joseph (Laura) Crocco, Jr. and Christopher Crocco and by her five great grandchildren, Jessica and Page Giampia, Leia and Aidan Garrette and Sofia Crocco. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Entombment, St.Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, N.Y.
