Julia A. Rendina 94, of Hawthorne, NY, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Sept. 30. Born in White Plains, NY on Nov. 26, 1925 to the late Domenick and Antoinette (Cotroneo) Loddo. Predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph L. Rendina in 2006 and her beloved brother , Anthony Loddo in 2013. Julia, an avid figure skater and judge, was the founder of the now defunct Skating Club of Westchester. She enjoyed planting flowers, tending to her garden and decorating her property especially for the holidays. She and her husband Joseph’s home was always open to many stray, unwanted and injured animals. Survived by her siblings Nicholas Loddo of Rye, NY, Mary (Marie) Suarez of Longwood, Fl. ,Margaret Turnbull of Ossining, NY, Lucille DeStrange of Ossining, NY and Rita Burns of White Plains, NY, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, her four cats, Gora, Kissy, Clay and Baby Kittie and parrot Chickie. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains , N.Y. Monday 10am. Entombment, Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local animal rescue group of your choice in her memory.
