Julia Paulo

Julia Paulo 94, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Feb. 15, 2013. She was born on July 7, 1918 in Pleasantville, N.Y. Julia was retired from the Valhalla School System and was a member of the Mt.Pleasant Seniors, loved bingo and was an avid Yankee Fan who loved Derek Jeter. She was generous, kind and loving to her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Julia was predeceased by her devoted husband John Paulo in 2003 and by her two brothers, Charles and Gus. She is survived by her loving children, John Paulo of Hawthorne, N.Y., Jack Paulo of Spring Hill, Fla. and Mary Poakeart of Valhalla, N.Y. one brother, Anthony Yacovelli of Old Fort, NC. Also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends including Dottie Crandall. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to St.Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. would be appreciated.
