MY EULOGY FOR MY HUSBAND –

我不善于公开发言。但今天我要谈谈我去世的丈夫。
多谢各位今天来向李如慕道别，我相信我先生一定会感谢你们对我的支持。
我要借此机会特别感谢约塞夫。他照顾我先生两年。因为他的关心和爱护，我先生去世前有一个快乐的余年。
如慕是好丈夫和好父亲。他是一个很有风趣，有幽默感，而且是一个重感情的男人。凡是他喜欢的东西，都要同我分享。每次他为联合国到其他国家出差开会，如果他发现当地有好吃的东西，他回来后一定会找到有同样食物的餐馆，让我也大饱口福。
他很勤快而且手艺不错。他自己亲手装修了地下室，作为听音乐的地方，而且自己装了壁炉。他在那里多次招待他的好朋友，他把它叫做“男人洞”。他一手建造了一个永远美丽的花园。请你们春天来看看我们的花园有多末美丽。
当然我们也吵过架。夫妻之间很正常。自己的牙齿有时也会咬到自己的舌头。但我们很快会言归于好。
三月二十一日，我10：08分急忙赶到医院，尽管医院的探病时间11点才开始，我知道他在等我。我赶到时他还有气，我摸着他的肩膀告诉他：“别为我担心事，我会照顾好自己，下辈子咱们再作夫妻。”
慢慢地他呼出了最后一口气。我想他放心了。

But I am willing to try for my husband’s sake.

Thank you for coming today to say goodbye to Ju-Mu.
I am sure my husband also would appreciate the support you have given to me.

I want to take this opportunity to express my special thanks to Joseph. He has cared for my husband for almost two years. Because of his loving care, my husband had a happy life to the end.

Ju-Mu was a very good husband and a good father. He was a very interesting, humorous and romantic man. He always wanted to share with me anything he liked. Every time he returned from his trips to serve the United Nations -- meetings in other countries -- he tried to find restaurants here that served the same food so I could experience it too.

He was very handy. He finished the basement as a listening room with a live fireplace. He and his friends had many good times there, in the Man Cave. He built a beautiful garden that will last forever. Please stop by in the spring to share the beauty of our garden.

Of course we had arguments sometimes. That is normal between husbands and wives. Sometimes your own teeth may bite your own tongue by accident. But we always settled our arguments quickly.

On March 21st, I rushed into the hospital at 10:08 a.m. although visiting hours really don’t start until 11. I knew he was waiting for me. I rubbed his shoulder and told him, “Don’t worry about me. I will take care of myself and our home. I am willing to be your wife again in my next life.”

Slowly he took his last breath.
He left with peace of mind.
