Joshua Kimmel

Joshua Kimmel of Manhattan NY and formerly of Millwood NY, passed away on September 27, 2021. He was 29 years old. Joshua was born on October 5, 1991 to the late Alan and Holly Kimmel of Millwood, NY. At an early age, Josh was recognized for his innate intelligence and his love for math and numbers. Josh spent eight years working as a senior financial analyst for a private life insurance brokerage.

Although the “baby” of the family, Josh was a protective and loving brother. He also had a very close relationship with his beloved parents. He was fondly called a hardworking and quiet young man by his friends and family.

Josh was an avid New York sports fan. He rarely missed a Yankee, Knicks, or Giants game. A trait that was definitely passed on from his father. He also loved watching and quoting from movies, especially horror movies with his sister. He looked forward to yearly vacations with his family and friends to Aruba and the Bahamas. Josh also enjoyed biking around New York City and San Francisco.

Josh is survived by his sisters, Lauren and Samantha Kimmel; his uncle, Glenn Ferdico; his cousins, Justin and Alex Ferdico and his cat brother, Bruno. He also leaves behind his close friends from Westchester and his college friends from Bentley University. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

A Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 from 2-6 pm, with a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. The family will have a dinner immediately following at Buon Amici Italian Restaurant in White Plains, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
