Josephine Surace

Josephine Surace 92, of Pleasantville, N.Y. died on Jan.22,2020 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1927 to the late Augostino and Virginia (nee Lamuro) Dovi in Pleasantville, N.Y. She was a longtime member of both the Mount Pleasant Italian American Club and the Mount Pleasant Seniors. Josephine is survived by her devoted husband, Dominick Surace of Pleasantville, N.Y. and by her loving children, Diane (Richard) Surace-Guido of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Paul (Luanne Jennex) of Pleasantville, N.Y. also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, Jodi, Cheryl (John), Jaclyn, Paul (PJ), Breanna and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by her two sisters and two brothers. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Monday, 9:30 AM. Interment, All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville, N.Y.
