Josephine M. Mecca

Josephine M. Mecca 98, formerly of New Rochelle, N.Y. died on Oct.31, 2020. She was born on March 14, 1922 to the late Antonio and Florence (nee Sirico) Caiazzo in New Rochelle, N.Y. She was a retired Teachers Aid with the New Rochelle Schools. Josephine was predeceased by her two devoted husbands, George Borrelli in 1952 and Leonard J. Mecca, Sr. in 1996 and also predeceased by her brothers, Nunzio, Pat and Henry and sisters, Louise DeVivo and Elizabeth Zabatta. She is survived by her loving children, George (Kathleen) Borrelli of Fairfield, CT., Leonard (Laurie) Mecca, Jr. of Ponte Verde, FL., Alice (Toby) Perucci of Valhalla, N.Y. and JoAnn DeJulio of New Rochelle, N.Y. also survived by her 10 cherished grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 9 AM-11 AM, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
