Josephine Masini

Josephine Masini, age 91, of Purchase, New York, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home. Josephine was born on June 9, 1928 in White Plains to the late Anselmo and Yolanda Mariotti, and had many fond memories of childhood in the close-knit community of Silver Lake. She attended White Plains High School.

Josephine was a lover of opera, had a passion for reading (especially historical novels), and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was an acclaimed artist in the kitchen and loved to host large holiday gatherings at her home. She was also an avid genealogist and did detailed research on her family tree.

In addition to raising two children, she made a career in the insurance industry. She was devoted to her faith and was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison, New York.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Lino Masini, and her sister Angela Franceschini. She is survived by her son, Samuel Masini; daughter, Dana Masini; and brother, Joseph Mariotti.

She will be put to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, New York.
