Josephine Ann Janisch

Josephine Ann Janisch 86, of Bronx, NY passed away on Nov. 29, 2017. Josephine was born on Aug. 17, 1931 to the late Salvatore and Concetta (nee Melilli) Gentile in Chicago, IL. Josephine was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Janisch in 2015. She graduated from the High School of Needle Trades in NYC where she became a proud seamstress from home. Josephine loved her work as a travel agent for AAA in NYC where she was afforded the opportunity to travel often. Josephine is survived by her caring daughter Joanna Terilli of Mahopac, NY and her devoted son Joseph M. Janisch (Nancy) of Bethel, CT. She is also survived by her sister Mary Gentile of Whitestone, NY, her brother Sam Gentile (Barbara) of Whitestone, NY and her four cherished grandchildren Tiffany and Taylor Terilli and Matthew and Justin Janisch. Josephine was predeceased by her two brothers Michael and Riggie Gentile. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-5 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Josephine’s name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
