Josephine Carney 86, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Jan.29, 2014. She was born on
Sept.22, 1927 to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee Iannello) LoPiccolo in Valhalla, N.Y. Josephine was retired owner of Babes Travel in Pleasantville, N.Y. She was
predeceased by her devoted husband, Vincent Carney in 1993 and by her daughter,
Maureen Maruggi in 2010 and several deceased brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving sons, Vincent (Bud) Carney of Hawthorne, N.Y.. Francis (Slim) Carney of
Atlanta, Ga. and John Carney of Valhalla, N.Y. one sister, Angie DeLucia of Scarsdale, N.Y. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visiting, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Wednesday, 10 AM-12 Noon, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon.
