Joseph R. Walsh 83, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on July 8, 2009 at Rosary Hill Home, Hawthorne, NY. He was born on April 22, 1926 to the late Charles and Josephine (Rall) Walsh in Troy, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Navy during WW II. Joseph was District Manager for New York Telephone for 36 years Retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife Charlotte (Goeldlin Von Tiefenau) of Hawthorne, NY, One daughter Kate Wenzel and husband Gregory of Ithaca, N.Y. Five sons Joseph Jr. and wife Victoria of Southbury, CT, Stephen and wife Emily of Katonah, NY, Gregory and wife Kellie of Parker, CO, Christopher and wife Debbi of Cross River, NY, and Peter and wife Carol of Katonah, NY. Grandfather of 14, Brother-In-Law of Breffany Walsh of Providence, R.I. Predeceased by 2 brothers Charles and Fred Walsh. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home Friday 4 PM Thru 8 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne., NY. Saturday 11 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY.
