Joseph C. Reda 92, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Oct.11, 2016. He was born on May 24, 1924 to the late Peter and Josephine Reda in N.Y., N.Y. He proudly served in the US Air Force during WWII.
Joseph was a retired Postal Worker with the Bronx Postal Service. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Grace (nee DeLuca) Reda in 2009 and by his beloved daughter, Barbara Reda in 1976 and by his two brothers, John and Ralph Reda. Joseph is survived by his loving daughters, Josephine Reda of Staten Island, April Reda of Valhalla, N.Y. , Elvira (Ellie) Reda of Putnam Valley, N.Y. and Patricia (Pip) Reda of Valhalla, N.Y. Also survived by his two cherished granddaughters, Barbara (Michael) Condon and Catherine (Robert) Naclerio and by his eight great grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Michelle, Matthew Condon and Anthony, Angelina, Samantha, Christopher, Salvatore Naclerio. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. would be appreciated.
