Joseph Midollo

Joseph Midollo a longtime resident of West Harrison and White Plains, died Monday, July 5, 2010. He was 85 years old. Joseph was born August 22, 1924 son of the late George and Lena Midollo. He graduated from White Plains High School Class of 1943 and served on the USS Bataan in the Navy during WWII. Joseph married Lucette Alle on May 13, 1961. He was a member of the West Harrison VFW Post 5463. Joe worked as a butcher in North White Plains for the Finest First National Supermarket for 47 years retiring in 1989. His daughter Sandra O'Connor of Melbourne, FL and step-son Peter Sturzel of Munich, Germany survive him as well as his brother Rocco Midollo of California and two grandchildren. His beloved wife Lucette died in November 1995. Three brothers George, Frank and Carmen Midollo and three sisters Theresa Henry, Jean Tucci and Angelina Moore predeceased him. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
