Joseph Kenneth Maffucci passed away peacefully on November 2, 2021, at the age of 80 years old in White Plains, New York. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all whose lives he touched.
Joe was born in Tarrytown, New York on January 21, 1941, to the late Joseph and Pompeii Maffucci. He was a graduate of Irvington High School, where he then went on to trade school for plumbing and heating. Shortly thereafter, he joined his father in his business Maffucci Plumbing & Heating which he later took over. During that time, he also developed a passion for horse racing, particularly harness racing. He then went on to develop Sunny Side Stables which he managed up until his later years.
Joe is survived by his three children; Lisa Maffucci, Kristine Williams, and Joseph Maffucci; two grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Williams; sister and brother-in-law Terry and Joel Bender nephews, Gary Bender and Dean Barnett; niece, Lisa Cendali and a host of cousins, and dear friends.
A friend to all, always charming, yet stern, and adored by so many, he leaves the world grateful for the life he lived.
A memorial service for Joe will be held on Saturday, November 6 from 2 pm-4 pm at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home; 2 Maple Ave, White Plains, NY.
