Joseph Kimmel

Joseph Kimmel 97, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on May 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 7, 1923 to the late Herman and Miriam (nee Kobrin) Kimmel in Brooklyn, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Air Force during WWII. Joseph was a retired College Professor with Westchester Community College in Valhalla, N.Y.  He loved traveling and was dedicated to his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Isabel (nee Wilkinson) Kimmel of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children, John (Epifania) Kimmel of White Plains, N.Y., Matthew (Lisa) Kimmel of Somers, N.Y., Adam (Natassya) Kimmel of Jakarta, Indonesia, Nicholas (Rebecca) Kimmel of St. Jean de Luz, France, Zachary (Emily) Kimmel of Woodcliff Lake, N.J. and Christina (Patrick) Wright of Lock Port, N.Y. also survived by his sixteen cherished grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Predeceased by his son, Alain Kimmel in 2017 and his brother, Leo Kimmel. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
