Joseph A. Giorgio

Joseph A. Giorgio 78, formerly of Mt.Vernon and Yonkers and most recently of South Glens Falls, N.Y. died on July 31,2017. He was born on Sept.19,1938 to the late Joseph and Angelina (nee D’Apice) Giorgio in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. He worked for Sholz Buick in White Plains, N.Y. as an auto mechanic for 30 years retiring in 2000. Joseph was predeceased by his devoted wife, Pauline (nee Castorina) Giorgio in 2010 and his brother, Anthony Giorgio in 2016. He is survived by his loving sons, Joseph (Dawn) Giorgio of Queensbury, N.Y. and Daniel (Lori) Giorgio of Yonkers, N.Y. four sisters, Maryann Rossi of Rye, N.Y., Delores Solano of Yonkers, N.Y., Patricia Giorgio of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. and Angela Brooks of Australia. Also survived by his one cherished granddaughter, Kayla Giorgio. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, 10 AM-12 noon. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 12:30 PM. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation would be appreciated.
