Joseph Antonazzo

Joseph Antonazzo 80, most recently of Sandy Hook, Conn. and a former longtime resident of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Nov.17, 2013. He was born on March 1, 1933 to the late Giovanni and Antonia (nee Paone) Antonazzo in Torrgrotta Province of Messina, Sicily. Joseph was a retired Restaurant Mgr. of Griffone Restaurant in NYC and worked for Gavi Restaurant in Armonk and Flames Restaurant in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. he is survived by his devoted wife, Nicolina (nee Pandolfino) Antonazzo of Sandy Hook, Conn. and by his loving sons, John (Carolyn) Antonazzo of Southbury, Conn. and Anthony (Michele) Antonazzo of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. one brother, Nicholas Antonazzo of Fishkill, N.Y. and one sister, Carmela (Stephen) Conte of East Meadow, N.Y. also survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Brianna, Ashley and Joseph. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
