Josefina Victoria (Compres) Liriano

Josefina Victoria Liriano of White Plains, New York, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old. Born in Moca, Dominican Republic to Ana and Lalo Compres.

Josefina shared her life with her husband Octavio Liriano Sr. Josefina and Octavio raised a son, Octavio Antonio Liriano Jr. She was the grandmother to Octavio Jr. and wife, Evelyn’s children, Sarah Elizabeth and Alexander Liriano.  Josefina was a grandmother figure to Alexander’s wife, Savannah and great grandmother to their son, Liam Carson Liriano. She shared a home with Octavio and his wife, Evelyn in White Plains, NY. Family and home were the center of her life. She had a passion for cooking and gardening that was reflected throughout. Her family carry with them her countless recipes, teachings, her love and her strength. She remains the matriarch of this family.

Josefina is survived by many family members who loved and cared for her.
