Jose Cangana

Jose Cangana, of Hartsdale, NY passed away on February 5th, 2022 with his family by his side.  He was born on April 11th, 1962 to Mariano and Teresa (Misaray) Cangana in Lima, Peru.

Jose is survived by his wife and love of his life Luz Marina Cangana, of Hartsdale, NY. He is also survived by his three daughters Jennifer Cangana, Stephanie Cangana, and Jacqueline Cangana. His siblings Amadeo Cangana, Rosa Cangana, Delia Cangana (Carhuachin), and Angelica Cangana, as well as their children (nieces and nephews of Jose Cangana).

Jose worked for The City of White Plains and was well known around town. Jose enjoyed traveling to his home country of Peru often and enjoyed playing traditional Peruvian music with his folk band Guitaras Andinas. Jose was always the life of the party and always was ready for an adventure. He loved his daughters very much and always put family first.

Jose was a wonderful person. If you knew Jose, you know how much he touched the lives of everyone around him. Jose was a kind soul, always willing to help those he cared for. His laughter and friendly demeanor made his presence a joy to anyone he crossed paths with. It was difficult not to smile when Jose was around, he was truly pure at heart and he will be dearly missed.

Although Jose left his family early, his family will continue to build the dream that he started.

Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, Feb.11, 2022 from 10AM-12:30 PM. Where Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
