Jonathan Lewis Gano, a longtime resident of White Plains, NY, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at the White Plains Hospital; at the age of 79. He was born in New York, NY on September 9, 1945, son of the late Alfred Sansbury & Dorothy (nee Rose) Gano.

At an early age, Jonathan had a paper route with the reporter dispatch, now known as The Journal News; he took great pride in his work tasks. He worked in maintenance at the United Hospital in Port Chester, and later various other jobs which he received from being part of the ARC of Westchester work-programs. His last job for several years was as a janitor at the Theodore Young Community Center in Greenburgh, NY; until he retired.

Jonathan had lived ARC-housing since early-1970s; he was a very social and comedic person, he loved striking up conversations with anyone. He enjoyed listening to music, particularly 50/60s Rock & Roll; and watching all sports. He also enjoyed the news, and keeping up on current events.

Jonathan is survived by his one brother Donald William Gano; and a host of friends & staff from the Arc of Westchester.

Along with his parents, Jonathan was predeceased by his two brothers and one sister: Stephen Roger Gano, Alan Richard Gano and Sara Lee Gano.
