Jon N. Willcox, age 68, an attorney living and practicing in White Plains and Whitehall, New York, died peacefully at White Plains Hospital on June 5, 2013. He was the son of the late William and Olga Willcox of Ossining. He is survived by his brother Eric, sister Michelle and several nieces and nephews. Jon is also survived by his longtime devoted partner George Loscalzo. His sister Olga died several years ago.

He received an undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Indiana and a law degree from Fordham Law School in New York. He began his career as a manager in the Special Accounts and International Department at the Reader's Digest Association where he was employed for five years before being appointed a Westchester County assistant district attorney in 1972. He was promoted to Senior Assistant District Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Frauds Bureau in 1978 where he conducted the first prosecution by a District Attorney of New York's anti-trust laws. He conducted a major international commodity and security fraud case with over 100 witnesses and 3,000 exhibits. His extensive white collar crime background resulted in the formation of the New York State Economic Crime Council where he served as chairman. In his later practice of law, Mr. Willcox specialized in cooperative living law with many clients through Westchester County.

Jon especially enjoyed spending free time at his home in Whitehall where he was frequently seen using a hammer or a cooking spoon, engaging in his favorite pastimes of carpentry and gourmet cooking.

A wake for Jon Willcox will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home located at 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains. Richard Lorino, BSG will be in attendance in the evening.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013, at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, at 10:00 a.m. Brother Richard Lorino, White Plains Hospital chaplain will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral at Ferncliff Crematory, Valhalla.
