John W. Zificsak 76, of Elmsford, N.Y. died on Feb.5,2017. He was born on December 7, 1940 in NYC. John proudly served in the US Army from 1960-1963. He worked for the Town of Mt.Pleasant Recreation Dept for 35 years retiring in 2003 and ran the Mt.Pleasant Senior Program. John is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen (nee Hanlon) Zificsak of Elmsford, N.Y. and by his loving son, William (Rhea) Zificsak of Mt.Vernon, N.Y. and by his cherished granddaughter, Jessie Rose Zificsak, also survived by his brother, Jack (Annamarie) O’Connor of Palm Beach, Fla. Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 3-7 PM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers donations to Ronald McDonald House of CT. 501 George Street New Haven, CT 06511 would be appreciated.
