John Walter III, a long time resident of Port Chester, New York, died suddenly on January 10, 2010 at the age of 52. He will forever be known as a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was born on April 25, 1957 to John (Jack) and Connie Walter and grew up in Dobbs Ferry, New York. After attending Iona College, he pursued a life long career in the fencing industry. On September 27, 1981, he married Mary Ellen Petrone and together they shared their love with their cherished son, John Albert. John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Petrone, his father, John Walter, Jr. and his father-in-law, Albert Petrone. He is survived by his loving son, John Albert Walter, his mother, Connie Walter, his grandmother, Hilda Solazzi, and his mother-in-law, Ellen Petrone. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael Walter (and his wife Linda) and Robert Walter (and his wife Patty) and his sisters, Debra Rago (and her husband Kenneth) and Lisa Calicchia (and her husband Joseph). John is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Thomas Petrone (and his wife Linda) and Dennis Petrone (and his wife Joan) and many loving nieces and nephews who adored him. John Walter III was loved by all who knew him. He was an avid Giants fan whose warmth, affection and love will be missed by all.
A Christian burial will immediately follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle, N.Y.
