John A. Marazio 82, of Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of White Plains, N.Y. died on Jan.30, 2010 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. He was born on June 12, 1927 to the late Dominick and Lillian (nee Calandro) Marazio in White Plains, N.Y. John served proudly in the US Navy during WW11 and served in the Pacific. He was owner operator of Marazio Florist in White Plains, N.Y. and later worked for Con Edison in Eastview. He was a member of the Roma AC in White Plains, N.Y.and the Valhalla American Legion. Family was the most important part of his life and also loved Golf, the Yankees and Frank Sinatra. He is survived by his devoted wife Claudette (nee Paulo) Marazio of Valhalla, N.Y. His loving children; John Marazio of White Plains, N.Y. Jackie Tomechko and her husband Dennis of White Plains, N.Y. and Kathy Shaw of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Also survived by his 2 cherished grandchildren; Mike and Katie Tomechko. Predeceased by 1 brother Joseph Marazio and 2 sisters Frances Klaus and Marie DeMasi. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday (today) 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Tuesday 10 AM. Interment, Mount Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to The American Lung Assoc. 3 West Main Street Suite 208 Elmsford, N.Y. 10523 would be appreciated.
