It is with a heavy heart and sadness that John Anthony LoBianco has passed away on May 24, 2020 from a 9/11-related cancer caused by his official duties supporting the recovery and clean-up operations at Ground Zero. John will forever be missed and always loved by his wife Daniela, furchild (yorkie) Mia LoBianco, his father John, his mother Barbara, his sister Lia LoBianco Kempton, his nephews Jack and Dylan Kempton, his mother-in-law Josephine Arezzo, father-in-law Salvino Arezzo, sister-in-law Camille Arezzo, brother-in-law Michael Caputo, as well as many dear friends and co-workers. John has worked as a City of Yonkers Public Safety Dispatcher for the last eight (8) years, and was a fierce and competitive athlete into adulthood. He participated right up to and through the cancer diagnosis in various tennis, softball, platform tennis, and golf leagues throughout Westchester County. The Bronxville Platform Tennis Team and Amackassin Softball Teams were most dear to his heart. A drive through public visitation will be held outside the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home at 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY from 10:30 to 12:30PM. Entombment will follow at the Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, John's family is kindly requesting donations be sent to the VOICES of September 11th - 80 Main Street, Suite 5, New Canaan, CT 06840, and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation - P.O. Box 41428, Boston MA 02241.
