John R. Keegan

John R. Keegan 85, of Hawthorne, N.Y. and formerly of Pine Knoll Shores, NC and Latham, N.Y. died on July 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1927 in Mt.Kisco, N.Y. John proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a manager with NY Telephone Co. in NYC retiring in 1985. He was an avid gardener and especially loved his rose gardens. John was predeceased by his devoted wife, Kathryn (nee Pachler) Keegan in 2006 and one sister, Helen Barrett and is survived by his loving children, Susan Keegan Ball (Richard Caruso) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Jack (Diana) Keegan of Boynton Beach, Fla., Kathleen (John) Mulligan of Albany, N.Y., Peggy (Steve) Kardian of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Jim (Melissa) Keegan of East Greenbush, N.Y. also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Interment Private.
