John G. Gagnon 74, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on April 13, 2014. He was born on
March 2, 1940 to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee O'Conner) Gagnon in
Mt.Vernon, N.Y. John proudly served in the US National Guard during the Vietnam War.
He was a retired Deputy Chief with the Hartsdale Fire District. John volunteered at
Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, N.Y. for many years. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Marcia Gagnon in 2007 and by his brother, Joseph Gagnon and sister,
AnnMarie Hartsel. He is survived by his loving children, Ron (Elizabeth) Gagnon of
Carmel, N.Y., John Gagnon of Thornwood, N.Y., Suzanne (Richard) Fekete of Trumbull, Conn. and Ronni (Glen) Stockhausen of Miller Place, N.Y. also survived by his six cherished grandchildren, Deanna, Erica, Nicolette, Alexa, Kristen and Isabelle.
two brothers, James of Yonkers, N.Y. and William of Ridgefield, Conn. also survived by
his former wife, Eileen Gagnon. He was a friend of Bill W. and also leaves behind his dog, Toby. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 4-8 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Thursday, 10 AM. Interment, Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rosary Hill Home
