John "Jack" Gerard Doyle of New Rochelle, New York returned home to our Lord on Friday the 11th of December 2020 at the age of ninety. Born and raised in Pelham, New York, Jack attended Pelham High School where he played basketball. He received his bachelor's degree from Iona College. While at college he formed, managed, and played saxophone in his band, The Melody Merchants. After graduating, Jack was drafted by the Army to serve in the Korean War from 1952-1953. In Korea, he befriended Father Rhi, a Catholic priest who oversaw an orphanage. With the help of his mother back home in the U.S., Jack was instrumental in raising money for both the orphanage and the construction of a new church. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant from the Army reserves in July 1960. Upon his return home, he finished his education at NYU to receive his MBA.

Jack began his career in sales at the American Broadcasting Company in New York City. Not only would this be a significant career opportunity, but it would also impact the rest of his life as it was there that he met the love of his life, Nancy Holden. He would reminisce about meeting her and how it was "love at first sight." They married on November 26, 1960 and would go on to share 60 beautiful years together.

Jack cherished time spent with family, whether it be his grandchildren's sport team events, recitals, family vacations, or family dinners. He also enjoyed taking yearly trips to West Point with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews to watch Army vs. Navy football games. Football was his favorite sport, religiously watching both college and NFL games, especially his beloved Giants. When not watching football, he was also an avid reader, always eager to expand his knowledge, particularly on the topic of his faith.

He spent his life dedicated to God, attending daily mass, serving as a Eucharistic minister, teaching CCD and instilling a love of God in both his daughter and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Doyle, devoted daughter Eileen Cipollone, son-in-law Domenick Cipollone, and grandchildren Alaina, Alexa and Joseph Cipollone. He is also survived by his brother Richard Doyle and his sister Mary Jane Lawton. He is predeceased by his parents John F. and Regina M. Doyle, his brothers William and Vincent Doyle, and his sisters, Lorraine Weigold and Elizabeth Berrigan. He is also predeceased by his three children Sean Philip, Maura Ann, and Mary Rita Doyle.
